Top Communication Apps on Android in Ukraine: Q3 2025 Performance

In the third quarter of 2025, the communication app landscape in Ukraine showed notable trends on the Android platform. According to Sensor Tower, here’s a breakdown of the performance of the top five apps.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a stable presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 42K and 89K, peaking in mid-September. Its active user base also experienced growth, reaching around 9.8M by the end of the quarter.

Telegram exhibited consistent revenue generation, averaging around $120K weekly, with a peak in early September. Downloads varied slightly, ranging from 38K to 64K, while active users hovered around 19.5M throughout the period.

My Kyivstar: mobile services saw a steady increase in downloads, culminating at 42K in late September. Weekly active users rose to approximately 3.9M, marking a significant engagement level.

Rakuten Viber Messenger reported a steady increase in revenue, reaching up to $23K by quarter’s end. Downloads remained strong, peaking at 38K, while active users consistently grew to over 18M.

Lastly, Getcontact experienced moderate revenue with slight fluctuations, averaging around $230 weekly. Downloads reached up to 31K, and active users remained stable at around 2.5M.
